and we are growing your favorite premium quality Heirloom Tomato
Plants!!!
The Greenhouse will be open May 13th through June 12th
Friday & Saturdays from 2 pm to 6:30 pm
We will also be selling plants at the Greeneville Farmers Market at the Greene Co. Fairgrounds
Tues. 2-6pm/Sat. 7am-Noon
Our list of our 2010 Heirloom Tomato plants and herbs is
posted and it includes all types and sizes from cherry tomatoes to beefsteaks, romas, oxhearts, sriped, green, red, black,
yellow, and orange. We will have early, mid, and late season heirloom tomato plants so you can enjoy them throughout
the season. We have acquired organic heirloom tomato seed from all over the world, as well as local favorites.
We are using organic growing methods this year, using organic potting mixes and
fertilizers. We've been researching and learning how 'simple' methods are much, much healthier and easier for us old
folks!!! It's like we are stepping back in time to when we were growing up, taking direction from our families on how
to choose seeds, soil, tools, etc. to grow our own food.
We take pride in being able to provide
premium quality bedding plants to local families so they can raise those tasty, luscious tomatoes we used to eat when we were
growing up. What goes better with those tomatoes than some fresh basil???
We
are offering a great selection of herbs for you this year besides several varieties of basil----- calendula, nasturtiums,
dill, etc. as well as some excellent companion plants to either compliment your other plantings, attract beneficial insects,
or repel the pests.
